Answers to the questions buyers ask most about Tony See leather patterns: printing at true scale, paper sizes, licensing, file formats and downloads.
How do I print a leather pattern at exact 1:1 scale?
Print at 100% or Actual Size, never Fit to Page. Every Tony See pattern includes a test page with 5 cm and 2 inch squares so you can verify your printer is not scaling before you cut. Cut each sheet on the dashed border and tape the sheets together, matching the borders, so the stitching holes line up.
What paper sizes do the patterns support?
Every pattern comes in three editions in one download: A4, US Letter and US Legal. Pick the edition that matches the paper in your printer; all print at exact 1:1 scale.
What do I get when I buy a pattern?
A digital PDF with full-size pattern pages, pre-marked and pre-matched stitching holes, a complete materials list, printing instructions, and a link to the full step-by-step video tutorial for that exact build. Files are available for instant download the moment you order. Nothing is shipped.
Can I sell items made from a pattern?
Yes. You may sell up to 10 finished items per pattern per year, on your own website, in a shop, at conventions or fairs. The pattern files themselves may not be resold, redistributed or shared in any form, free or paid.
Do I need experience to use these patterns?
No. Each pattern states its difficulty level and estimated build time, and every design has a complete video tutorial to follow along. Beginners can start with the free patterns before buying.
What file formats are available?
PDF patterns for printing at home and cutting by hand, and SVG/DXF versions of many designs for laser cutters such as Glowforge and other Cricut-compatible machines.
What materials and tools do I need?
Each pattern lists the exact leather weights (for example 4 to 5 oz veg tan), hardware, and thread it needs, so you can buy everything before you start. Materials are not included; patterns are digital files only.
Is there a discount for buying several patterns?
Yes. Buy any 3 or more patterns and 15% off is applied automatically at checkout on leather-patterns.com.
Where are the video tutorials?
On the Tony See Patterns YouTube channel. Every product page links to the tutorial for that exact pattern, with high-quality closeups of every step.
