The Tiny Doctor is a mini plague doctor mascot made entirely from leather scraps. Beaked mask with eyelet eyes, wide brim hat, a coat with two pockets and flaps closed with Sam Browne buttons, and a pair of little hands. He stands on his own and makes a great desk mascot, shelf figure or gift for anyone into the gothic side of leathercraft.

This is a digital PDF pattern, not a finished item. Nothing is shipped. You download the files right after purchase and print them at home.

One size. The finished Tiny Doctor stands about 17.5 cm (6.9 inches) tall.

What you get: the full pattern in three PDF editions, A4, US Letter and Legal, with every piece labelled and stitch holes marked, a printer test page with a 5 cm / 2 inch square, a printing guide, the materials list and a link to the complete video tutorial where I build the whole thing step by step. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/ZSFfKsZDlRw

Difficulty is intermediate. Completion time is around 3 to 5 hours.

Materials you'll need, not included: a few scraps of 5 oz leather, 2 x 7-9 mm eyelets, 0.8 mm waxed thread and 4 x 4 mm Sam Browne buttons. A good one for using up offcuts.

Printing: the pattern comes in three editions, A4, US Letter and Legal, so open the one that matches the paper you have, choose actual size in the printer settings and check the test square before cutting any leather. Takes two minutes and saves a lot of leather.

Copyright and licensing: hand made use only. The pattern files may not be shared, resold or redistributed in any form, free or paid, under any circumstances. Dieselpunk.ro SRL, Tony See Patterns.

  • Printing & paper sizes

Open the PDF with Adobe Reader and print at "actual size". Do not use "fit to page" or "shrink to fit" — those resize the pattern and the pieces will not line up.

Larger patterns are spread across several sheets. Print them all, line up the marks, and tape the sheets together before you start cutting.
