Printing & paper sizes
Open the PDF with Adobe Reader and print at "actual size". Do not use "fit to page" or "shrink to fit" — those resize the pattern and the pieces will not line up.
Larger patterns are spread across several sheets. Print them all, line up the marks, and tape the sheets together before you start cutting.

Reviews
This pattern has lots of pieces but several are the same. Follow the video instructions putting together a section at a time and it comes together just right. It took me several days to complete. Don't expect to finish in 1 day. Tip sew on strap holder while sewing that seam. And what's a backpack without the straps- make them too. Next time I will make the handle about 1 inch longer and make the larger one. Everyone wants this purple one.
This is the largest and most complicated thing I’ve made so far, and I’m very happy with it. The pattern was clear and the order of construction well explained. I added larger side pockets to carry 16oz water bottle and coffee cups. I think it looks well balanced;) I worried about the size of leather I needed,as I can only order mail order, so ordered a “1/2 butt”- and used about 2/3 of it (see image), so spare to make something else!!
I just finished my SECOND Legendary Explorer. I adjusted the sizes for my outdoor activities and the bag is amazing (everyone is jealous). Please note this bag is larger than the pattern!
